How Was Your Tour With Mario Frangoulis?

It was a tour we ended up doing 11 tours if I remember correctly we had a ball a wonderful time we were sold out every single night it was alot of fun we both enjoyed it very very much we know spending the holidays with our fans was a big treat for us.

Will This Become A Yearly Thing Between You And Mario Frangoulis?

Ah who knows alot of people have been asking we will see will see. We’re discussing about it but we will see see. Well we had a very good time and we had fun our audience loves to see us together the truth is we haven’t sung together in 7 years or something I think it was alot of fun in getting back together on stage and sharing some of most beautiful Christmas songs.

Which Christmas Song Is George Favourite To Perform?

Oh all of them I know it’s a very cliche answer you know it takes me a long time to pick out the songs for a program. I sometimes work on it for two or four months or more months just on you know picking the songs to put in the program. Once I have them you know they are all my favourites they are all favourites and I can’t just pick one.

You Posted On Your Social Media Of Your Trip To UNICEF How Was Your Trip?

It was a wonderful trip you’re referring to my visit to United Nations building UNICEF headquarters. Yeah you know UNICEF is a cause I hold very dear to my heart and I’m extremely proud to being good will ambassador. I think what we do for children is very important and I’m truly honoured to work with them. Also at the same time my appointment as a UNICEF ambassador was done to my idol Nana Mouskouri to the legendary Nana Mouskouri she was the one who appointed me a UNICEF ambassador it was a huge honour to picking me as a bigger pleasure and we have alot of work to do while I was in New York discussed about many of the programs that we will be releasing to the public like in the coming months and you know we all have our part to play.

How Did You Get Involved With UNICEF?

Well it started by one of the ministers here in Greece asked me to be an ambassador for child fostering in a brand new program they had setup in the country a year ago which was co organised by UNICEF. I reached out to them and I said hey I’m here and want to help what can I do and so little by little started to collaborating on a few smaller projects and a year later they named me an ambassador so I’m now officially working for them it’s a great honour and great responsibility at the same time.

Talk To Us About What We Can Expect From You In 2023?

Well you can expect 2 new albums one of them is coming shortly a live record and then another one a very special project unfortunately I can’t reveal what it is yet as I have to wait for a couple of months but there is two new albums there is a world tour there’s concerts in Greece theres concerns outside of Greece it’s going to be busy busy year I will be working alot with UNICEF as well it’s going to be a pack year 2023 I can’t wait.

How Does George Relax When Not On Tour?

You know I often say work like a dog and I rest like a dog which means I like to spend alot time on my couch doing nothing but at the same time I enjoy seeing my friends which I have missed I cook alot cooking is something really relaxes me and gives me lots of pleasure and you know traditionally in Greece we invite friends over and spend a good three to four to five to six to eight hours around a table eating and laughing and drinking alot of wine being poured so that helps me to relax and of course traveling. Also spending time with my own think it’s very important being close to nature and being alone is an important of who I am.

Could We See You Take Part In A Cooking Show?

Haha no competitions and TV shows aren’t my thing sorry. I don’t have one specific meal if someone cooks and knows how to cook it they don’t have a specific dish I can literally make anything out of a kitchen pantry if you enjoy cooking you can do anything all you have to do is put love and creativity into it but for now I just enjoy cooking for my friends and family more than enough.

When You Come To The UK What Do You Do Before A Show?

There’s a Mansoory mason which is a long stop and leave with many many many tea bags built with tea as I’m a tea person I don’t like coffee I only drink tea it’s my small paradise there’s many places in London. London is a city I love very much Iove walking around the city going to the parks I have many friends in London so it’s one of my favourite places and I can’t wait to be back I haven’t been in a while it’s been four or 5 years I think but I do know that I’m coming back next year I will have had a performance in London next year I can’t yet but it’s very soon.

Where Would George Love To Perform?

Well one of the places would love to sing is the Sydney Opera House I have performed in Sydney when I toured with Tina but I haven’t performed in the Sydney Opera House then there’s of course everyone dream Albert hall in London so I hope one day I get to sing there. I would love to perform in Africa never been to Africa so that’s one of my dreams so many places so many places I mean I have had the chance to preform in many countries I think I have sung in nearly 20 countries or so but you know you never stop dreaming but you want more and you always long to meet people and see your fans wherever they may be.
